Via Ferrata of Espolón de la Virgen de Rodellar

The Via Ferrata of Espolón de la Virgen de Rodellar is located in Rodellar, within the Mascún Canyon. This route follows the spur leading to the Hermitage of the Virgin of Rodellar, offering spectacular landscapes and an airy environment along the way. Although not very difficult, it provides the adventure thrill we seek.

With a difficulty level of K2 (medium), this ferrata is equipped with metal staples and some chains, allowing for breathtaking views of the walls of the Mascún Canyon. This canyon is primarily known by climbers and canyon descent enthusiasts. Its aerial character gives us the opportunity to contemplate famous points like the "Delfin", a hole in the walls shaped like a dolphin.

The return from the ferrata is done by trail, although there is the option to finish with a descent through a dry ravine, with 3 rappels of 6, 5, and 12 meters that lead us back to the bed of the Mascún. Consulting this option is advisable.

The best way to enjoy this Via Ferrata is to combine it on the same day with the Basender ravine, a perfect activity for when the aquatic ravine season has ended.
